Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using FAE — provided by Lazy (sole proprietorship), Martinstraße 10-12, 52062 Aachen, Germany — you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Service Description

FAE is an email alias service for iOS that allows users to create anonymous email aliases, receive emails, and reply to received emails (reply-only). FAE is currently in the pre-launch phase. Features and pricing may change before launch.

3. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use FAE for:

Spam or unsolicited bulk emails
Fraud, phishing, or identity deception
Illegal activities of any kind
Harassment, threats, or intimidation
Sending malware or harmful content
Systematic circumvention of security measures

Violations can be reported at abuse@fae-mail.com.

4. Reply-Only System

FAE only allows replies to received emails. Composing new emails or sending to arbitrary addresses is technically not possible. Every outgoing message is bound to an inbound original and validated server-side. This is an intentional security measure to prevent abuse.

5. Reply Limits Policy

Replies via FAE are subject to the following limits:

20 replies per alias per day
100 replies per user per day
2 replies per inbound message

These limits serve abuse prevention and protect delivery reputation. They may be adjusted without prior notice. When exceeded, replies are temporarily restricted.

6. Content Responsibility

You are responsible for the content of replies you send through FAE. In particular:

You must not send unlawful content
You must not infringe third-party copyrights
You are responsible for compliance with applicable laws

Aliases that trigger complaints (spam reports) from recipients may be deactivated.

7. Subscriptions and Pricing

Premium subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store. Apple's payment terms apply. Current reference pricing: €5.99/month or €49.99/year. Pricing may change; the price shown in the App Store at the time of purchase is binding.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period via App Store settings.

8. Right of Withdrawal

Consumers in the European Union have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of contract conclusion. Since FAE subscriptions are concluded through the Apple App Store, Apple's withdrawal policies apply.

Withdrawal Instruction

Right of withdrawal:
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day the contract was concluded.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Lazy, Martinstraße 10-12, 52062 Aachen, Germany, email: contact@lazy.space) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g., a letter sent by post or email).

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal:
If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you without undue delay and at the latest within fourteen days from the day on which we received notification of your withdrawal.

Note: Since payments are processed through the Apple App Store, refunds are handled by Apple. Please use reportaproblem.apple.com or your App Store settings.

9. Refunds

Since subscriptions are processed through Apple, refunds are handled by Apple. For issues, contact us at contact@lazy.space — we will find a fair solution.

10. Termination and Suspension

We reserve the right to terminate or temporarily suspend accounts for violations of these terms. Reasons include:

Violation of the Acceptable Use Policy (Section 3)
Excessive spam complaints from recipients
Systematic abuse of the reply system

Upon termination, aliases are immediately deactivated. Remaining data is deleted within 30 days.

You can delete your account at any time: Settings → Account → Delete Account.

11. Intellectual Property

The FAE brand, logo, website, and app software are the property of Lazy. You may not use them without written permission. Email content you receive or send through FAE remains your property.

12. Availability

We strive to provide FAE reliably and without interruption. However, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. Planned maintenance will be announced in advance where possible.

13. Limitation of Liability

FAE is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law:

We are liable without limitation for damages arising from injury to life, body, or health, and for intentional or grossly negligent conduct.
In cases of slight negligence, we are only liable for breaches of material contractual obligations (cardinal obligations), limited to foreseeable, contract-typical damages.
Further liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages is excluded.

14. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in effect. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a valid one that most closely reflects the economic purpose of the original provision.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). Jurisdiction is Aachen, to the extent permitted by law.

We are neither obligated nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration body (§ 36 VSBG).
